Our RestoraJoint Program Assists With:

Shoulder Injuries

The shoulder is involved in making many large movements such as lifting, swinging, pulling, pushing, and so on. The shoulder joint itself is built for mobility to allow for this variety of movements. However, we are granted that mobility at the expense of stability. A person can injure themselves doing any number of activities from something as intense as lifting weights to something as simple as hanging curtains or a painting.

Also, due to how much the shoulder is used it can be difficult to heal and can quickly be reinjured and become a recurring problem. Even if the damage heals scar tissue and inflammation can still keep forming to create a whole new problem. A person could heal and the pain could go away but they might lose partial or even full use of the shoulder due to stiffness and inflammation caused by tightened ligaments and connective tissue.

Rotator Cuff Tears

The rotator cuff is a network of four muscles that come together as tendons forming a covering around the head of the upper arm bone keeping the arm bone firmly attached to the socket of the shoulder blade (scapula). This network of muscles can tear for numerous reasons such as overuse, and even just wear and tear. Those that are more susceptible to this type of injury are those who use overhead movements a lot, such as athletes.

This type of injury can cause an immense amount of pain, instability in the joint, and even weakness so severe that it prevents movement of your arm. To prevent your pain from getting that severe and enabling you to recover movement our providers at Regenerative Medicine of South Jersey use regenerative cell treatments to help heal the rotator cuff. We inject cells that have been fortified and enhanced with cytokines and growth factors that when injected into the rotator cuff, will combine with the body’s natural cells and help in healing the tear so that you can live a pain-free life.

Shoulder Degeneration

Shoulder degeneration is a gradual and progressive condition that can happen for a number of reasons such as age or disease, and it is something that will get worse over time if not treated. This degeneration happens to the shoulder cartilage that surrounds and protects the bones. When the cartilage wears away it leads to bones coming in contact with the joint and rubbing together. This rubbing causes a number of symptoms such as swelling, pain, inflammation, and bone spurs.

At Regenerative Medicine of South Jersey, we use regenerative cell therapy to target the specific areas that are damaged and wearing away. We will inject the damaged area with cells that have a high concentration of immune cells that will help promote healing, reduce pain and inflammation, and slow or stop the progression of scar tissue.

Bursae are fluid-filled sacs that provide a protective layer between muscles, tissue, and bones. This protective layer allows everything to move smoothly without rubbing together. When any of these Bursae get inflamed it is called Bursitis. Bursitis causes stiffness and pain during any movement of the shoulder joint.

Are You Struggling with Shoulder Injuries? Regenerative Medicine of South Jersey Can Help!

Our regenerative cell treatments help to bring down that inflammation and decrease or remove any pain or stiffness. We inject the cells that are high in growth factors that help to decrease inflammation and heal the bursae. This is a non-invasive treatment that can be done in-office and acts quickly so that you can continue to live your life pain-free.
