Preparing for your First Visit

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Completed New Patient Paperwork (if not digitally submitted)

  • Any applicable imaging reports you have for recent X-Ray, MRI or CT scans.

  • A PHOTO ID and VALID INSURANCE card if you wish to bill insurance.

  • You are welcome you to bring a friend or family member to your first appointment if you would like

When do I need to arrive?

If you are not able to submit the New Patient Paperwork prior to your appointment, please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete these forms. Otherwise, please arrive 10 – 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Your prompt arrival helps us make sure we have any other additional forms required by insurance completed and helps our medical practitioners stay on schedule.

What happens during an initial appointment?

On your first visit you will have a consultation to review medical history and an examination to help find the source of your pain or injury. Our providers will start by taking a thorough history of your current complaint as well as a review of your current and past medical history. We will review any available imaging (X-ray, MRI etc) and/or lab studies that have previously been performed. We will provide an extremely detailed evaluation of your movement and function. In most cases treatment will begin on the same day unless the nature of the problem makes that prohibitive. Initial treatment may include activity avoidance, manipulation, balance exercises, Cold Laser Therapy, PulseWave, CET, or a combination of these treatments.

How long will my appointment take?

Allow 60 – 90 minutes for your first visit for our team to complete a thorough comprehensive exam on your initial visit examination. Subsequent appointments will run 30-60 minutes on average.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Dress in comfortable clothing, such as shorts and t-shirt or workout clothing that allows free movement. You may also bring a change of clothing with you if preferred.
